Robert Frank on the road.
Map charting the three principal trips Robert Frank took from June 1955 to June 1956, shooting pictures for what was to become The Americans.
Looking In: Robert Frank’s The Americans runs through August 23 at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, before moving to The Met in New York. More about the exhibit.
Andrea and I were fortunate enough to catch this exhibit when it was at the National Gallery in DC. I cannot recommend it enough. The photographs are incredible and what’s more, is that Jack Kerouac writes personal/poetic captions for each one. It’s like taking a road trip back in time with great minds at a pivotal point in our history and culture.
I like Robert Frank
This looks like a really cool trip to take! I wish I had the time and money to do something like this!
