Having just seen this movie last night, I agree with most of what Leitch says in his review, but mostly I just appreciated the fact that I was seeing such a different movie than is usually available in theaters. This is a edgy/arty film for the sake of being edgy/arty, but not so overdone that I couldn’t appreciate it for being so indie. The shaky camera work, the non-chronological scene splicing, the nonacting/acting, the amazing authentic locations, the fantastic original music that’s a character by itself, and the show don’t tell attitude the film takes made it an awesome movie to experience. It’s an adult film that treats you like an adult and for not having unnecessary and lame themes and long exposition shoved in my face repeatedly, I enjoyed the reprieve. It gets a solid B in my book, let’s just hope Grey doesn’t take this example to mean she should be in every mainstream movie from here on out.
