any tumblr dudes have any good experiences in nyc with a straigth razor shave? my annual end of term/playoff beard’s time is nearing an end, and figured I’d go get a nice hot towel and a shave. unfortunately i just got a hair cut b/c i would have like to get a shave & a haircut, which always reminds me of that scene from roger rabbit… but i digress… was thinking freeman’s sporting club barber down in w. village, but any other options out there?I’m not a dude, but I hear great things about The Art of Shaving. My friend gave her boyfriend a shave from there for his birthday and he looooved it. I’ve never felt smoother skin on a grown dude’s face.
This Art of Shaving looks so cool. I’ve walked by the storefront but never knew they did actual cuts in there (beyond selling the products). Neat idea for a little male pampering. I know I miss the barbers across the street from my alma mater that had been doing things the same way for the forty odd years they’ve all been working there.
