About PeterWKnox.com

My name is Peter W. Knox. Cindy would tell you the “W” stands for “wanker” but my parents would tell you otherwise, and correctly.

This is my website. I hesitate to call it a “blog” because even I don’t know how to define its content. Tumblr gives me a whole lot of freedom and I love them for it because I can be lazy and still update my site where it’s worth checking several times a day. They call this format a “tumblelog” and it feels like I’m maintaining a digital scrapbook more than a traditional blog.

If you’re a first time visitor it’s probably because you clicked through on a this Butter Room Interview or a Gawker link to this post or my quote on Jakob Lodwick’s page pulled from this post. While both of those unsolicited plugs resulted in thousands of hits and attention, most of my stuff here won’t penetrate the internet in the same way as those examples. And I don’t necessarily want them too.

Sometimes I’ll bust out 1,095 words, a 20 min. video, and four hyperlinks to news items I’m passionate about, or follow up on a Blog War with lots of quality writing back and forth, or I’ll just click “Share” on a cool blog post in my Google Reader (RSS Aggregator) and voila! it’ll feed into this site. But usually I’ll just post a picture, video, or stupid conversation.

I live in New York City now. It’s always fascinating me. Kind of like the internet and my Tumblr Dashboard where I read other people’s aggregated postings from their Tumblrs. That’s where some of this content comes from, reblogged from another person’s page, and you can find the original post through my linked attributions.

This is it. This is me. Before this site I had these scattered blogs:

And now, finally I’ve found my online home:

I’m glad you’re here, hopefully you are too.
