'Dashboard' Conversational

This tumblr community has straight up fascinated me and consumed hours of my life, but it’s also given back considerably.

The ‘Dashboard’ is our conversation thread and much more personal and intimate than any message board in existence. Here people build their online lives and can opt in and out of anyone’s world.

Once there, you’re a part of things. Whether you participate in the ongoing conversation or continue to post inside your own place, you’ll notice people are grabbing things from other tumblr pages and reblogging them themselves, either adding value, further sharing it with a larger audience, or both.

There are no threads and everyone is completely free to watch the conversation fill up their Dashboard and jump in at any time, adding to something or proposing a topic of their own. It’s a democracy and a dictatorship at the exact same time.

And that’s why I love this place, my dashboard. It’s an ongoing conversation, constantly evolving, changing, and growing. You can leave and come back at anytime to catch up. Dozens of like minded individuals are adding to your cultural education and you’ll never know what you’ll discover and learn on any given login.

I always wanted to be a part of something like this - before tumblr, before the iPhone, and before the Internet. Thanks to all of you I am. A voice, a platform, a self-discovery tool, and an electronic archive, all at my fingertips.

A student, a photographer, a designer, a writer, a marketer, a professional, a traveler, an observer, a reflector, a musician, a performer, a dancer, a personality, a lover, a journeyman, a documentarian - all members with something they want to share.

Sign on and SAY something. Refresh and LEARN something.
