I was thinking about this last night, as I bickered with a Christian about the institution of marriage. I was tempted to say, ”Just think about how disappointed your future kids will be to learn that you were on the wrong side of this issue.”

It’s patently ridiculous to be moving backwards on these social issues. The domestic partnerships that were already existing just fine in NC should never have been in jeopardy. At a time when states are making gay marriage legal, to go the other direction (rather than just continue to do nothing, which is cowardice but not aggressively hate/harmful) is sickening.
