Oh my goodness. This exact hotel is where my parents took my brother and I on one of our Lake Placid family skiing trips. I remember sitting there, antsy at the early meal (no kids allowed at the later meal), and my brother, who had ordered Sprite to drink, sitting there horrified at the over-attentive waiter who kept pouring water in his soda everytime he would drink a little down.
Later, fireworks would happen over the frozen lake outside.
