My roommate is also leaving this month, and giving up his room at the Astoria apartment I’ve lived in for 3.5 years.

The room is huge and it’s part of the two living rooms, eat-in kitchen, 3BR on 30th Ave in Astoria (3 blocks from N/W, 15 min walk to the V,E,R on Steinway). There’s all kinds of food (chinese, mexican, italian, pizza, taco truck, japanese, indian, greek - in a two block radius), gyms (NYSC and others), a Rite Aid and Duane Reade, restaurants, cafes, beer gardens, and parks (Astoria park 15 min walk) and I’m going to miss the heck out of it.

The landlord is terrific, and giving you the flexibility with a 6th month lease and option to sign on again and again (like I did).
