Saturday night, Stretch suggested that the crew head to Tayst to follow in the footsteps of Hemingway and Fitzgerald and be tempted by the ‘Little Green Fairy’ er rather Absinthe. Tayst is one of the few places in town that serves the real deal now that it is finally legal again in the states. It is served in glasses with ice water drizzled over a sugar cube on slow drip. Quite the concoction indeed. After an hour or two on the patio at Tayst, we were joined by some regulars and a strong shower of thunderstorms. There was something truly unique about the experience, sitting there with great pals, sipping Absinthe in the rain. Ahhhh. And yes, shenanigans ensued. More on that to come.
So strange. I was drinking Absinthe yesterday after the soccer game. Good to know there’s a place to hit up in the city for it.
