There’s no way you don’t already know about all this [Tumblr Drama&Spite]
- Gawker covers the “feud” between Mary Rambin and Frangry, which was really more like a cross between the non-news of Wolf Blitzer talking about the Montauk Monster and a bad deleted strip from For Better or For Worse where the privileged private school girl gets into a stubborn argument about who knows “New York” better with the street tough public school smoker chick from down the block. As in most of these cases, Google Maps is used to end the argument, with Mary being publicly embarrassed but claiming moral victory over the obvious “spiteful bitch” that is the geographically correct Frangry.
- Nick Douglas has his spot blown up when (some would say, righteously) spiteful Chaya Kristen writes this piece on their long distance internet affair turned almost physical relationship, spurning Melissa Gira to comment on what it was like being on the other corner of this “love” triangle. News or not, drama it most certainly is, and entertaining wonderfully written, almost poetic, internet driven relationship angst at that. No wonder everyone can relate, emphasize (at some level), and take sides, causing Nick to post an almost political response (following his “funny” one-off). It’s almost ironic for a relationship ending almost-affair to be aired out on Tumblr posts, given that most of it took place over Tumblr and was birthed from a Twitter affection. Either way, it makes for far more literary gossip than Page 6.
That is all. I believe it’s time for some of you to come in from recess and the rest of you to head to lunch. Remember today is a “B” day, which means we’re running on blue and red rotations. No backpacks in the hallway please. Orderly fashion, there’s the bell.
