This is embarassing. I keep hoping it’s all just a joke or an elaborate sketch, but I just feel great depression at the sorry state of politics in our nation where we have to take this person seriously. She makes me grateful for Dick Cheney, because I can trust that Cheney has been preparing his entire life to be the smart and powerful man behind the curtains. And that sickens me. I just can’t help but feel that your average 46 year old educated and politically aware woman could be pulled into this interview and handle it better. Much more respect for Couric after this. All I have learned from Palin is that someone told her John McCain is a “maverick” and that’s all she needs.
