It makes you wonder if this was their goal all along: to push back the VP debate. Earlier today McCain called for the first presidential debate to be postponed so they could deal with the ongoing financial crisis. Now they want it to replace the VP debate.

Who exactly do they think they are fooling with this maneuver?

The Arizona senator would like the vice presidential debate between Sarah Palin and Joe Biden, which is currently scheduled to take place on Thursday, Oct. 2 in St. Louis, Missouri, to be scheduled for a later unspecified date.
