1 day of work = $50?

I haven’t taken a sick day this year, and if make it to 2009, I get a $50 check. However, last week I took a day off for health appointments. Is it worth one of my few remaining vacation days to get a $50 check this late in the game? Unforunately, this is a viable conundrum.
