But damn do I love him.
I realize that President Obama will disappoint me at some time in his first term. The past week, however, is totally not that time. I can’t think of a better presidential week than this one has been (Gitmo closed, black sites ordered to shut down, inauguration, cabinet confirmations, Roe vs Wade statements, etc) in basically my entire adult life.
It’s so nice to wake up every morning and remember: “Oh yeah, Obama is the freakin President!” and then go about the rest of the day. I know he’s not perfect, I realize he will make mistakes, but damn do I love him.
